Short introduction of Statistical Theory and Analysis on Natural Sciences Laboratory (STAANSL)
The laboratory serves as a platform for interdisciplinary
collaboration, where statistical models are developed and applied to analyze
complex natural phenomena. It emphasizes both classical and modern approaches
such as regression modeling, time series analysis, multivariate analysis,
spatial statistics, and machine learning techniques to interpret real-world
data effectively. The research activities in the lab are designed to enhance
data-driven decision-making and to contribute to sustainable development
through scientific understanding supported by robust statistical evidence.
Students and researchers working in the lab are trained in
data collection, computational analysis, and statistical inference using
software such as R, Python, and SPSS. The lab also promotes methodological
research in statistical theory to improve analytical frameworks applicable to
natural science data.
Beyond research, the lab intended to organize seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects with
other scientific disciplines and institutions. The ultimate goal of the Statistical
Theory and Analysis on Natural Sciences Laboratory is to integrate
statistical innovation with natural science research, producing meaningful
insights that contribute to academic excellence and societal advancement.
Through rigorous statistical exploration, the lab continues to expand its
contribution to evidence-based scientific research within and beyond Khulna
University.
